Program Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) at Taylor’s University prepares you to manage, design, and support modern computer systems across a wide range of industries. You will build strong technical expertise in both hardware and software, gaining a solid foundation in software development, systems networks, cybersecurity, and database management systems.

Our curriculum moves beyond simply writing computer programmes to place strong emphasis on analytical thinking and real-world problem solving. You will learn how different forms of information technology operate within an organisation and how to align IT solutions with business goals, bridging technical capabilities with strategic needs.

Through a balance of theory and hands-on practice, you will graduate ready to deliver innovative IT and data management solutions with confidence, while earning a dual degree award from Taylor’s University and the University of the West of England (UWE). Career pathways include roles such as system administrator, IT analyst, software developer, or information security analyst, all highly relevant in today’s fast-paced and security-conscious digital world.
