Program Overview

The Certificate in Visual Design is an entry level programme designed to introduce students to core principles in design and visual communication. It provides the skills, mindset, and exposure needed to prepare students for creative diploma-level studies and careers in the visual arts.

Students will explore essential topics such as drawing, typography, color theory, basic photography, digital tools, and multimedia applications. Through hands-on projects and creative exercises, students will begin developing portfolios while gaining confidence in design techniques and creative thinking.

This programme serves as a stepping stone toward diplomas in Graphic Design, 3D Animation, and Digital Creative Content.

This programme is designed for SPM leavers with a minimum of 1 credit or any equivalent qualification. Upon completing the course, the student can continue with their Diploma.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM: A pass in SPM with minimum 1 credit in any subject and a pass in Bahasa Melayu.
  • Pass with Grade C in any subject.
  • Certificate: A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 2 in a relevant field
  • UEC pass with minimum Grade B in any subject
  • Master's Degree Level: Pass an interview OR submission of portfolio determined and acceptable by the College/University.
  • Other: Other relevant qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government and acceptable by the College/University.
